Flower markets across India are a world within a world. They begin each day just after midnight as we all are in slumber. Notes of jasmine flowing through the lanes. These flower traders work religiously to be a vessel for others to have their offerings for the gods by each dawn. All garlands are meticulously made, draped on the backs of workers who gleam through the lanes with smiles sweeter than the roses. From one end of the market to the other, transported so carefully, only to be repeated over and over through the morning. These services are acts of love.
