Collection: Karim Magdy

In 2017, Karim Magdy began walking the streets of Alexandria, Egypt, with no intention of becoming a photographer. At the time, he was struggling with depression and overthinking — and stepping outside, observing strangers, and paying attention to fleeting moments became his quiet form of healing.

With nothing more than a phone in hand, Karim started documenting the world around him: the small silences, the unnoticed gestures, the warmth and strangeness of public life. Over time, this daily practice turned into a visual language — gentle, unforced, and deeply human.

Today, Karim works across photography and documentary-style video, using both analog and digital tools to explore memory, presence, and emotional honesty. His work is rooted in stillness, shaped by instinct, and always returns to the poetry of real people in real places.
