Collection: Tia Chinai
Tia Chinai is a Brooklyn- and Bombay-based artist, designer, and creative director whose work spans digital storytelling, painting, illustration, and collage using found materials. A graduate of Pratt Institute, her personal practice is deeply influenced by the layered visual language of India, drawing from local ephemera, pop culture, memory, and craft traditions to create textured, narrative driven compositions. In 2020, she co-founded Krool Toys, a creative technology studio that has developed award-winning projects for McDonald’s, appeared in global Nike campaigns, and been featured in publications like Complex and Rolling Stone. She also serves as Art Director at The Dirty Magazine, shaping its irreverent, culturally sharp visual identity. Across both her studio work and independent practice, Tia blends analog and digital mediums to build playful, emotionally resonant worlds that bridge place, media, and meaning.
